We all have mental health, as we have physical health. Having better mental health allows us to be happier, healthier and thrive in our work and relationships. With one in two people in Switzerland suffering from a mental illness at some point in their life, addressing mental health has never been more important.
Mental Health First Aid training is an internationally recognised, evidence-based course that empowers people to look after their own and others wellbeing by giving them the tools to support their mental health and to get help and support early.
First Aiders are taught to recognise the signs of mental illness; to break down the barriers of stigma and listen in a non-judgmental way, and to offer initial help by guiding a person towards support.
Over the last year I have been working with the team at ensa to bring Mental Health First Aid to Switzerland. The 12-hour adult MHFA course will be available from October 2019. As a certified MHFA Instructor and Trainer, I deliver both public and corporate courses in English across Switzerland.
